Dear Church Family,

What an incredible year of God working powerfully in and through His church.  God has done great things moving His mission forward!

Jesus gave us that mission in Matthew 28:18-20 he said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Therefore, the reason we exist as a church is To Make More and Better Disciples.  We are committed to becoming a people that increasingly look and live like Jesus, reaching our neighbors with the good news of Jesus, helping them find their way back to God.

One great opportunity for God to move us forward in our mission is this year’s Fall Focus entitled “FOLLOW: Answering the Call of Jesus.”  Starting September 10th, we will spend 11 weeks together discovering what it truly means to be a disciple so that we can follow him better and be used by him in greater ways to impact our valley.  The key to getting the most out of the Fall Focus will be the content and conversation that is only available in a Connect Group.  Make sure to get signed up for a group.  Group sign up is open now! Click here.

As we stop and celebrate what he has done, may it build enthusiasm in you for what he is going to do.  Because we know that he has even more He wants to accomplish in this new year ahead.

As you look over this report, may you thank God that is actively changing lives here at North.  And may you eagerly anticipate even greater things ahead.  To God be the glory!

 God Bless,

Dear Church family,

We have a great deal to celebrate about what God has done in and through our church over the past year. One of the most significant changes has been our accreditation with ECFA. After much effort by our accounting team, I’m excited to share with you that North Parkersburg Baptist Church is now accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).

ECFA is an accreditation agency dedicated to helping churches and Christian non-profit ministries earn donor trust through adherence to ECFA’s Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship. These standards include financial accountability, transparency, sound board governance, and Christian ethics.

When an organization becomes accredited by ECFA, it demonstrates its willingness to follow the model of biblical accountability as stated clearly by the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 8:21 (NIV) "For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men."

What this means to our donors is that when you give to support our mission of “Making More and Better Disciples,” you can trust that your financial gifts are being stewarded with the highest levels of integrity and accountability. If you’d like to learn more about ECFA, please click here.

Thank you for partnering with us for the Kingdom.

 In Christ,
