Project Hope

One child. One hour. One church. One school.

"He (the student) has had a big attitude change since we've started working together. At first he was really shy and quiet but now it's great to see him smiling and excited to be together."

Project Hope reaches out to at-risk students in our local public schools
by providing mentors and tutors.

Target Schools...
   McKinley and Emerson Elementary Schools -- Mentors meet with students in
     Kindergarten to 5th grade who have been selected by the teachers and staff.
   VanDevender Junior High School -- Tutors work with math students the teachers
     have selected.

Structure...
   Mentors meet with their students for 30-45 minutes once a week. This time period
   is chosen to fit the schedule of the student and the mentor.
   Tutors work with their students for one class period per week at a time selected by
   the teacher.
