Prayer Ministry

"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
Galatians 6:2

Our Purpose...
The Prayer Ministry exists to lift up the needs of the congregation and church staff.  We believe that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  He performed miracles in the past and He is still performing miracles today.  God wants to save the lost and heal the hurting.  The Prayer Ministry is an integral part of God's ministry.  God will help us if we seek Him through prayer and are obedient to His commands.

Aspects of the ministry...
Prayer Requests and Praises ~ Collection and Distribution

Each Sunday morning, members of the congregation express prayer requests and praises on their Communication Cards.  The Cards are handled with strict confidence and then processed and transferred into a packet that is distributed to Prayer Partners and Pastoral Staff for daily prayer.

Prayer Hotline
A 24/7 Crisis Hotline is available to anyone in the church.  Dedicated prayer team members are on call around the clock.  To place a request, call the church office (304.428.3293).

Church-wide Prayer
Every Sunday at 6:00pm in Fellowship Hall. A time to pray together as a church, to praise God for all He does, and take our requests to Him.

Hospital/Home Prayer Team
A prayer team is available to anyone facing medical tests, surgeries, or any other emergency and who would like to be prayed for in person.  To request a personal prayer visit, call the church office (304.428.3293).

Service Prayer Time
Members of the Prayer Ministry gather to pray over each Worship Service and special event while it is taking place.

Upward Prayer Team
A special team prays over Upward Basketball and Cheerleading during the planning stages and actual season by using a prayer calendar with specific topics for each day.  Due to the efforts of our prayer team, these prayers have answered the needs of 22 children and their families.

Project Hope Prayer Partners
Coordinated through the Project Hope program, a prayer partner is paired with a mentor or tutor to lift up them and their student.
