Membership matters

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you. - Hebrews 13:17 (ESV)

·        Believers can only obey this passage if they are a committed member of a local church.

·        Pastors can only obey this passage if they know who the members are.

Church Membership…

·       Affirms that one has authentically professed faith in Jesus as their Savior.

·       Establishes a mutual Agreement of the church to shepherd and the member to be shepherded.

·       Provides Accountability for continually growing as disciples of Jesus.
