Carol Sears

Carol is the church treasurer.  She takes care of all things finance.

Carol and her husband Ben were married on 9/9/88 so it would be easy for Ben to remember!  They have three children, Emily, Andrea, and David, and two pets, a cat - Mr. Whiskers and a miniature schnauzer - Polly.  Carol grew up in Walker, WV.

I'm not sure I have one.  I'm not a big movie goer.

Favorite Foods...
Steak, McDonalds fries, and of course, dark chocolate

Alpine Lake

Interesting Facts...
I have three brothers and two sisters.  When we all get together for the holidays, there are usually 50-60 people crowded together in a very small house.

Scariest Thing I've Ever Done...
Whitewater rafting, raising children - not necessarily in that order.

If I could be anyone else for a day, I would be...
Santa

Favorite Bible Character/Story and why...
Esther. She did what she needed to do, no matter if it might cost her life.

Barbara Beatty

Barbara is the Office Manager.  She is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the office and helping in meeting the needs of the ministry staff.  Barbara and her husband Ed met at a church in Morgantown, WV.  She didn't like him at all at first because she thought he was really conceited.  Of course, that all changed and they were married September 18, 1999.

Barbara was born and raised in Parsons, WV until the 3rd grade.  Her father was in construction work and so they lived in various places until they settled in Morgantown in 1954.  She left Morgantown for Parkersburg in April of 1999.

Favorite Movies...
Just Like Heaven, The Passion of Christ

Favorite Music...
I like most all music.  Not too crazy about bluegrass or jazz though.  My radio dials are set mostly to Christian music stations.

Favorite Foods...
Salads (especially Applebee's Oriental Chicken Salad) and dark chocolate

Favorite Places...
Hawaii

Scariest Thing I've Ever Done...
Probably climbing Dunn River Falls in Jamaica (thought I was going to drown, and on my honeymoon at that)

If I could be anyone else for a day, I would be...
I just want to be the person God created me to be.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Favorite Bible Character/Story and why...
The story of Job.  We have all had, and will, have difficult times in our lives.  As we are shown in Job, sin is not always the cause of evil and suffering in the world and righteous people quite often suffer unjustly.  We need to remember that no matter what we go through in this life, God should be served simply because He is God.  I appreciate Job and his faithfulness and pray that I will always remain faithful to God.
